Ever roll into Monday already behind?
You slept in, your room’s a mess, you forgot to prep food, and you’re staring at your to-do list wondering where to even start.
We’ve all been there.
That’s why I swear by one simple habit: the Sunday Reset — a short, intentional pause to clear the chaos and get your week off to a solid start.
💡 What’s a Sunday Reset?
A Sunday Reset is 30–60 minutes of calm, low-pressure prep that helps you feel clear, organised, and grounded before the week begins.
It’s not about doing everything — it’s about doing just enough to help you feel more ready and less reactive.
🌱 What Could Your Reset Include?
You can make it your own, but here’s a simple structure to get started:
🗓 Check your calendar
- What’s coming up this week?
- Any appointments, deadlines, or things you need to prep for?
🧹 Quick clean-up
- Tidy your space — just the basics. Clear surfaces, put laundry away, make your bed.
🍲 Meal & snack prep
- Plan or prep a few meals, even if it’s just breakfast and snacks to keep you going.
🧠 Set your top 3 priorities
- What are 1–3 things you want to get done this week?
(Not everything. Just the most important stuff.)
💸 Check your budget
- Look over your bank account, bills, or spending plan. Make adjustments if needed.
🧘🏻♀️ Do something that grounds you
- Go for a walk, journal, take a long shower, meditate — anything that helps you reset mentally.
🔁 Why It Works
- Reduces stress – You’re not waking up on Monday already behind.
- Boosts motivation – A clear space and plan = a clear mind.
- Supports your nervous system – Predictability and structure create a sense of safety.
- Improves follow-through – You’re more likely to stick to habits when you start the week with intention.
✅ How to Make It Stick
- Pick a regular time — e.g., Sunday afternoon or evening
- Keep it short — 30 minutes is better than none
- Don’t aim for perfection — consistency > intensity
- Write out your Reset routine once and refer back to it each week
💬 Final Thought
A Sunday Reset won’t solve all your problems — but it will help you show up to your life with more clarity, calm, and capacity.
And that’s where real change starts.
So if Mondays keep feeling like a car crash, try giving Sunday a bit more structure.
Future you will thank you.
